The age group of people drawing the daily cash benefits in connection with unemployment has varied over time: Until 2004, it was 17–64. In 2005–2020, also people aged 65–67 were in some cases entitled to unemployment insurance. From 2021 onwards, it has been 18–64, as the extension of compulsory education raised the minimum age limit, and at the same time, people aged 65 and over in practice no longer have the right to unemployment insurance.

The data source is: Labour and Welfare Administration.
In 2008, the Labour and Welfare Administration made a number of changes that have led to break in the time series for unemployed. Figures released before the changes are therefor not directly camparable with later figures

Duplication may occur, as a person may be registered as both insured and non-insured in the same year. The data source is: The Unemployment Insurance Inspectorate.
